Mist

"Walk any path in Destiny's garden, and you will be forced to choose, not once but many times. The paths fork and divide and with each step you take through Destiny's garden, you make a choice; and every choice determines future paths.
However, at the end of a lifetime of walking you might look back, and see only one path stretching out behind you; or look ahead, and see only darkness. Sometimes you dream about the paths of destiny, and speculate to no purpose. Dream about the paths you took and the paths you didn't take.

The paths diverge and branch and reconnect, some say not even Destiny himself truly knows where any way will take you, where each twist and turn will lead. But even if Destiny could tell you, he will not. Destiny holds his secrets.

I sit on my throne, made of black marble and tears. I sit on my throne, high and mighty and gaze upon the world I have crafted. There is no war, for I have decimated everyone that once stood against me. There is no false idealism for I have removed from the heart of men the capacity of hope, of believing in anything that is not my iron-clad rule. I have render entire civilizations to dust and raise new ones from the ashes just to create this. My perfect world. And now, as I stand on my throne made of black marble and tears I finally realize how empty my achievements are. How fate has put on my way something that I can not defeat. For no living man can win against an empty room. There is no one, no one is left but the maggots that dare not look me in the eye, much less challenge me.   Once, in a very special day, we rested here. I was so happy that we could finally be together. But now I stand here once again and, instead of your warm, my companions are the chilly wind and my sorrow. How could my life turn to this living hell so quickly?  Less then one week ago we were happy, talking about the future, making plans. And now I stand alone in the darkness of the night under a sky without starts and a cloudy full moon. You will never know how much miss you, how my love for you has been the one constant almost my whole life. I know that we will reunite. As we allways have. I will patiently wait for that day. Regardless of if is tomorrow , next week, next year or on my deathbed, I will allways be ready to pick up where we left off without a second thought. The very last thing I told you last time we were together was that I loved you.  And I do.  Now and forever.

Recupero a consciência e a primeira coisa que sinto é o bater do teu coração. Passaste a noite aninhada nos meus braços e adormeci com a mão sobre o teu peito. Fico incontáveis instantes a olhar para onde o teu rosto deveria estar e apesar da escuridão do quarto me deixar ver apenas uma forma desfocada sei o que está ali. O rosto de um anjo caído do céu, condenado por um qualquer pecado a ficar a meu lado... Perco a conta ao numero de vezes que te digo, todos os dias, que não te mereço e a resposta é sempre a mesma. Dás um beijo no teu indicador direito e encostas-o aos meus lábios antes de eu acabar a frase, olhas-me nos olhos com um suave shh. Não existem segredos entre nós, duas metades de uma mesma alma presas em corpos diferentes... metade das vezes nem falamos, um olhar chega para que todos os argumentos e ideias sejam trocados, todos os pedidos realizados e desejos partilhados.
